In the realm where thoughts and dreams entwine, where shadows dance and notions align, there blooms a herb, a gift profound, whose praises, often whispered, do resound.

Weed, blessed weed, a gentle friend, whose virtues some fail to comprehend.

Amidst the haze, a world awakes, a tapestry of solace and breaks.

Within its leaves, a healing balm, calming storms, a tranquil psalm.

An ally to the weary mind, where troubles fade, their weight unbind.

A prism of perception it bestows, unveiling truths, where insight flows and the human body is set a glow.

The mundane transformed, colors ablaze, a kaleidoscope of forgotten ways suddenly remembered when you blaze.

In introspection's tender embrace, we wander realms, lost in grace.

Boundaries dissolve, connections ignite, a symphony of thoughts takes flight.

Anxiety's grip, it loosens its hold, as peace and calm begin to unfold.

A respite found from life's demands, where worries fade like shifting sands.

Creativity sparks, a vibrant fire, imagination soars, dreams are inspired.

A brush, a pen, a melody's birth, in weed's embrace, art finds its worth.

Compassion soon blossoms, hearts expand, empathy reach’s out its gentle hand.

With open eyes and open hearts, we build a world where love imparts.

But heed my call, with wisdom tread, for balance guides the path we thread.

Respect the herb, its power revere, in harmony, its blessings appear.

For weed, dear weed, a tale untold, its mysteries, ever unfolding and very bold.

In harmony with nature's decree, it’s no longer a whispered secret, weed is shared by all, including thee. So light up a joint, and it will set your soul free.

Wow! This is startlingly beautiful, Alex and so well crafted. The meter is spot on and I adore your rhymes, some of which are quite brilliant! “Heart, impart” “revere, appear.” You have a skill with poetry, and I mean that most sincerely. This was a joy to read, and the profundity was a nice surprise, given the subject. All around fantastic! 🎉❤️

A remarkable piece! I don't light up but I consume various edibles every day : )

Back home it used to grow in everyone's back yard, by the sides of roads and everywhere, no one made it a worry. Just an everyday plant, until it was romanticized. So weird and funny.
