Permanence

Pink clouds fill the open air and tease me away from my worries

They encompass all that is me and replace my lungs

I breathe easy…

They quiet the deafening tone that’s turned my heads fate to that of an eggshell

I hear but a peaceful silence…

The vice that’s gripped down so tightly into my flesh, ripping slices of mortality from my bloody arms has been loosened

I am no longer heavy…

Floating now, pink clouds engulf my body and mind alike, taking place of my surroundings as I slip away, peacefully succumbing to a welcoming cushion of calm

I eagerly take my leave-
