The Five Senses

With just five senses, we perceive it all

From the sights, we see to the sounds of a call

There's the smell of fresh air and a taste of sweet honey

And the touch of a loved one, oh so warm and sunny

Our eyes capture the beauty of the world

From the colors of autumn to a flag unfurled

We hear the sound of laughter and the rustling of leaves

And the songs of a bird, as it takes to the breeze

The aroma of a rose or freshly baked bread

A wafting scent that takes over our head

And the taste of strawberries, juicy and red

Or a spicy curry that makes our tongue spread

Last but not least, the sense of touch

From a soft kitten's fur to a hand to clutch

These senses enrich our life every day

Showing us the world in a special way.
