Senseless

Undone

You were blind

And I was numb

So, I spoke

Without my tongue.

You listened

And in your ears

The bells rung

As I tasted my own fears.

You stared

Your eyes empty

The heat of your gaze

Could no longer tempt me.

You turned

Your heart now hollow

There is a bitterness

In the tears I swallow.

You disappeared

With no care to be left

And so, I remain

Alone and bereft.
