I have a goal of 50 days - 50 haikus - responding to 50 different songs. These are songs with lyrics that I feel close to. Number Nine is the beautiful Send in the Clowns by Judy Collins.

Send in the Clowns

Late love’s empty stage

Sole, silent clowns in the dark

The show ends alone.
