What is a semicolon, you ask?

It is quite simple to explain, barely even a task.

A semicolon is a pause in a sentence that, instead of ending, goes on.

Sometimes, it means a life that could have ended.

But a soul bravely defended.

Their story until it reaches its glorious dawn.

;;;

April 16th is World Semicolon Day. Should you see someone bearing this symbol somewhere on their personage, please be kind.

Likely, they have wrestled with depression and more, and are recovering. Some, such as myself, wear it for both awareness and to display our battle scars.

Because we are warriors who almost lost the fight.

Thank you!
