Self Respect
A poem to give you an uplifting feeling that you are someone special
Breathe.
Be worthy
of things
you believe,
that will no doubt
make you feel
the love
and self-respect
you need.
Don't let haters
beat your soul
like it's broken,
or pounced on,
leaving you bereft
of nuisances,
letting the demons kill
your inner light of
bravery, delight, and
hard work
when studying,
gaining the power you need
to go further.
Do not fear your abilities
or your talent
to be brighter than
any other being.

Women are worthy of
so much more.
Don't let powerful beings
push you into
dark spaces,
unknown and unseen,
a thunderous,
darkening, explosion,
mitigating your desires.
This world is for you.
You can be the person
you want to be
by shining your personality,
wearing brightening clothing
of oranges, pinks,
reds and greens.

Use your spontaneous mind
to envision your success
at every level.
Know you're perfect
in every way.
You can be the best
and do the best
and come out on top.
You will be the person
that everyone wants to be.
So, feel it in your bones
and own it.
This is you.

You shine so brightly
like the star in the sky
shimmering in the dark
but shining and lightening
upon your body and soul.
You won, you received
the award
you desired and wanted
because you were brave
enough to put in
the hard work.
Practicing and devouring
your time
like no one
ever has before.
