The painting exhibition
is always lively with visitors
with a thirst for beauty from the essence of colors
and with a hunger for unknown feelings
the perfectly aligned paintings
seem an army that is disciplined
and always winning
in a corner
there is standing unnoticed
the exhibition guard
he can daily see other visitors
and listens to the same story
about the value of the paintings
as the author was never known
and that the collection was missing
one single painting self-portrait
that each evening
the guard goes straight home
at the entrance
he makes a friendly sign
towards a painting
picturing the guard himself
which is named self-portrait
