Self-Interested Ball Play

Do you enjoy selfishness in sports?

The egoism of passing.

A direct pass to

A teammate that then

Allows for a score

By field goal is a

Beautiful thing. It

Requires the skill

And prowess of the

Perceptive athlete.

Far from selflessness,

This kind of ballplay

Is egoistic.

It is like a true

Capitalist who

Trades with a startup

And reaps the pleasure

Of doing good work.

To assist players

On one’s own team is

The model of true

Selfishness. To not

Pass the ball when a

Teammate is open,

And you take a wild

Shot that is blocked or

Bricks or draws air or

Is stripped is such an

Unselfish and dense

Act that you can show.

Self-interested

Ball play allows the

Team to not worry

About statistics

But about hoisting

That championship

Trophy up in the

Name of sportsmanship.
