A prayer

By CatsidhePublished 11 months ago • 1 min read

I hunt for you.

I hunger for you;

your soft silver sacrament

permeates my mind.

Bathe me in your luminescence,

pure as the first light of innocence,

until I am

reborn, transformed,

no longer myself,

part of the sky,

the wind,

the dark between stars,

part of your ancient holiness,

driven by your rhythms,

dancing to your lunar symphonies.

No matter what science may say,

you are no pale reflection,

no imitation of a greater glory,

you are mystery itself,

living and dying again

and again,

an argent phoenix caught in an endless arc,

the same today

as aeons past,

the same today

as you will ever be.

Bless me with your endless rejuvenation

and teach me how to bloom anew

with each encroaching night.
