the sky melted through my emerald windows

my soul has consumed the stars and the moon

and it beams from my fingers and toes

have i transformed or consumed?

my reign of freedom ignited from her

gifted by the opportunity to live a hundred lives

in a single drift, away from my conscious awoken mind

i’ve created worlds, hallucinated, and seen the future

existing only in my mind

asserts no claim on its reality

for i remain as the dominant force

perhaps seeing what life truly is
