Seeking Azure

A poem

I am a storm of rolling midnight

Roiling Sodalite clouds churn with indecisive fury

Paint me monochrome with Payne’s Grey grisaille.

The deep Indigo sweeps thru this moment,

Lush Indanthrone wanted to play.

Cast aside, yet sadness and anger slowly wash away.

Watercolor dreams cooling as Ophelia sinks deep.

These pigments drip away as feelings process, spread sensuously upon virgin sheets.

Music thumps through my chest, keeping rhythm as lively Ultramarine enters the scene.

Adrenaline courses as Iridescent Electric splashes down,

blue swirls in the jar, brush gently circling.

The final strokes ready to lay down, Cerulean breaks through as dawn approaches.

Exhale as the tender stroke’s complete.
