Nothing More To Write
Into that yonder fog some day to disappear,
From all I’ve known and hold so dear?
Is that the final word that I will type
As light and breath and my mind take their flight?
Some may imagine a more splendid end,
Where winds of angels flutter and around me bend.
It’s a fanciful thought one I even seek to see,
But the truth for us all those scenes may not be.
Some seek to know how to step across the divide,
Some seek to understand what grace provides.
Some have spoken of visions they might have seen,
But have no proof of some world that I will win.
Yet, I let them explain as they speak without ceasing,
Knowing full well that I too have a vision ever increasing.
And once I’m done here on this side with my journey,
From birth to the grave through grace without a worry.
For whatever that place or existence for me shall be,
I’m sure that it will become something spectacular to see.
I have a promise from someone who can not lie,
Into that world beyond that fog, I will forever abide.
So when my last moment is well spent,
And all that I’ve seen or done that was my intent.
I’ll pray for those angels that I’ve seen before,
To greet me as I close my eyes to write no more.
