colour means something different to me
it is a creation of personalities
a kingdom inside my head
It's a safe place I've created for my childhood self
and carried to my adult years
not many are lucky enough to meet my colours
blue the protector finds it hard to trust
we have learnt to mask and front well enough to seem "normal"
but always know we have our safe little kingdom
full of colour, safety and quirkiness
alot of you know me as cedd
but there are eight different colours in my kingdom
and cedd is the king
I like to think we all move with love
but some colours have a darker side than others
some have the role of protection when things go wrong or a logic brain is needed
some have demons and trauma unspoken off
some have the energy of a five year old and the love of all things yellow, pokemon and spiderman
and some are the healing I've needed since we were a kid
these colours are my safe place
dissociative identity disorder is real and valid
It does not define me
my kingdom is valid
every single colour is valid
and loved dearly
the word colours means something different to me
It is love
It is my kingdom
It is me
