See, touch, taste, hear...inhale

Seeking Colors for the senses. The hunt.

By Antoni De'LeonPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Awakening in a highly sensory, perceptive mood today

My senses attuned to the wonders of Mother Nature

I have the need to hunt the simple pleasures of life

I taste the sky, I swallow the moon whole

I sense your heartbeat, it weeps, I absorb your pain

Colors, colors. I close my eyes...hear the colors undulate

The stars they twinkle, to the beat of the drums. I see the rhythm

Early morning coffee assails my nostrils, the world awakes!

Dawn’s brush paints the sky in hues of rose, blessed be my eyes

Silhouettes emerge, trees stretching tall, I reach out, touching

Morning dew clings to leaves with the secrets of bees, I taste the honey

And shadows retreat, chased by the sun’s warm call, as silence ensues

The sun rises over the horizon, ushering soft aromatic morning dew.

Birdsong permeates the rise of the sun, painting the sky yellow/gold

From hidden nests, birds chorus to life. Tasting freshness in a newborn day

Rustling leaves, laughter, and a distant church bell, aches the heart

Cool grass yields to bare feet, aromatic greeting of the earth’s embrace

Fingers trace dew-kissed petals...fragile.
