Secrets

In Plain Sight

They’re hidden from the world,

As if they’re a precious pearl.

I keep them locked away,

Because they make me feel ashamed.

Sometimes they escape,

Which causes problems to arise.

There are times in life where I can’t control it.

I know that I’m in danger,

I sometimes feel empty inside.

I try to fight it and keep going,

But I barely make it through.

I realized that life is never easy;

I learned that the hard way.

I’m constantly fighting to find my way,

Trying to fix myself as I go along.

My fixes don't work at all.

They actually make things worse.
