Seaside Sorrow!
Poppy’s Prompt’s #2: February!
Sibilant sounds sift slowly southwards…
Sirens shatter surf‘s soothing sighs…
Searchers’ steps stagger… stumble…
Smashing simple, silica sandcastles swiftly.
Such shock… sorrow… seeing ships sink!
Seawater seeps steadily starboard.
Souls ‘shout’ silently… seeking saviours.
So soon sadness soars… surpasses…
Sorrow’s supreme!
??????????
Somewhere, sometime, subsequently… someone’s sister seeks solace.
Sepulchre stands symbolically solitary.
Silver cylinder sharply strikes several, similar cylinders…
Sounds stir sultry sunset’s silence.
Soggy scrap shows… scribbled script’s salutations… circle seascape scenery…
Cemented… stuck solidly… shrine’s stone step…
‘Sayonara” she sobs…

Exquisitely done! Loved it!
Beautiful work...It's as pleasing to the eye as it is to the mind
My words, Angie! This is incredible. I love the Tautogram/alliteration of it all. It's beautiful work. I bet it was a nightmare to write lol. Well done.
This is wonderful Angie! So cleverly done🤍
Super, super!!!
Whoaaaaa, this was magnificent! You truly outdid yourself! This was such a freaking brilliant Tautogram and I loved it!
I haven't started my attempt at this yet, but I really enjoyed yours. I forget what style of poem it is where every word begins with the same letter, but whatever it is you did it very well. I loved it.
Maybe could have used a bit more alliteration, but great poem!
Kinda sad but a good piece
I loved the alliteration and assonance. Lovely piece of poetry. It reminded me of the delightful scene in 'V is for Vendetta' when V introduces himself to EV as a humble vaudevillian and then gives a speech almost entirely populated with words beginning with the letter V.
Woah! That's some amazing creation.
Awesome! You turned the prompt into a tautogram. It flowed so well! Nice work!
Superb sense smoothy spoken.
