Full Moon

In the reprieve of darkness, movement consumed balance

The clouds shifted and the waves drew near; everything entered a trance

Two worlds spiraled into chaos when the sea grasped the sky

The lonely citadel stood alone amidst the tempest’s reply

Someone sat at the heart of the tempest, only a shadow of the man he used to be

The scratches on his body were severe, yet he gave no plea

The sky crackled with vivacity whilst raindrops fell into a violent cascade

The only light came from the tower’s top where the dim rays occasionally started to fade

Voices came alive, a requiem played upon the wake of wantonly waves

The delineation of a broken mind satisfies the insanity that raves

Pieces of the tower shatter, assailed by the sea beneath

Silent screams are built by the feelings that wreathe

Nothing takes the place of everything

The seaside citadel is sinking

Beyond the falling eventide

No one can hide
