I scroll down to avoid the pictures.

I scroll down to avoid the hate.

I scroll own to avoid the debate.

I scroll down because its not a debate.

My friend's lives are not a topic for my paper.

They have thoughts and feelings an dreams.

Instead I watch them fight, for basic human rights.

Debate the hate.

That's what they tell me.

Be an ally, walk the talk.

But instead I scroll.

Afraid to get involved.

Afraid to be;

Forever caught in a "debate" that isn't a debate.

Afraid to say the wrong thing.

Afraid to overstep.

Afraid.

And so I scroll down.

Part of the problem.

Wanting to be part of the solution.

But instead I scroll.
