Screaming without words

There was silence all around

Yet somehow I wanted to make some noise

Thoughts of sounds were drowning out any sense

Didn't matter which way I turned just wanted to make something known

But uncertain what it was that needed expressing

Attempting to form words in my mind but the connections wouldn't cooperate

Seemed like everything attempted resulted in the opposite

In the visions I could picture the vocabulary

But could not connect this with reality

It was an eerie silence

Even if I sought from some imaginary dictionary it would not result in the appropriate guidance

Continuing to avoid tragedy I tried choose something that would sound comprehensible

Yet nothing emanated from this vestibule

As I was just screaming without words
