the mirror reflect

ideas our hearts detect

though our minds deflect

*

why give time and space

to any...anything at all

if it doesn't reflect

*

very truths we hold

the undiluted, pure form

who we want to be

*

we can stand and say

no...no...to just getting by

yes...yes...to our hearts

*
