For those with kids heading for summer break
School is out, and summer's begun
Elementary kids, no more homework to be done
No more early alarms, no more rushing to class
No more stressful exams, no more trying to pass
It's time for the beach, the park, and the pool
Time for playing outside and feeling cool
Running, jumping, and playing games
Enjoying the sun and the fresh air that sustains
No more pencils, no more books
No more teachers' funny looks
It's time for popsicles, ice cream, and fun
Playing with friends until the day is done
Days are long, and time seems to fly
But summer break will never pass us by
Elementary kids, enjoy your time in the sun
For before you know it, the school will have begun.
