Scarecrow

Deceives less than 0.01% of the population,

Misfit of this “perfect” nation,

Scaring people away because they’re not used to them,

Louder than an obnoxious crow you only hear once-in-a-life-time,

Isn’t as ugly as they seem,

Their mind just makes it look that way,

But, they are playing with people’s minds.

He looks scary to himself,

Does he really fool people like he thinks he does? Or is he just a mastermind?

A scarecrow, “ugly,” and scares people away,

Ironic because he’s not actually all that ugly.

He just wants to know,

Longing for what people think of him.

Tell me,

Then I’ll know the real reason spend all this time trying to figure out my corn-maze of emotions,

Not just because you love me,

But your heart,

Is all I want.
