Guard

He’s always on guard

Out in the middle of the corn field

Keeping an eye out for the black crows to scare them off. So they don’t get the crops

The farmer, stands tall, as he comes near to see a friendly face that does not speak

But does his job by scaring off anything that comes in this field that is unwanted.

Such, as a ghost or a goblin

The farmer, smiles with a gentle sigh

As he says, to the scarecrow

Good job my friend!!

As the farmer,

Disappears into thin air

The scarecrow..

Then turns his head,

Smiles and says, “Well done boy!!

As he keeps guarding the crops.
