I am taking my original poetry and turning it into multimedia art, using the latest generative visual and production tools. This poem was inspired by a ride on a commuter train.

The full lyrics are below the music video.

Scan My Ticket -- Hear My Voice

Vapid screens with scribbles read and answered by nodding heads and dancing fingers, lost souls in silicon hell.

I sit alone, looking out the train window, thinking thoughts of Stonehenge monuments, ancient people gathering for a vision in the sky, aligned by a monolith pointing at a star.

Instead, I see rusted factories, empty with overgrowth, now a makeshift city to scattered homeless, who stand by a fire near an abandoned car, while a pack of stray dogs is chased away by men with sticks.

Scan my ticket, ignore my presence, email me, or text me, rather than hear my voice.

Sold out to nothing by bright, shiny lies, one after another that divide and cloud our humanity in exchange for falsely believing this smugness and prosperity can last forever.

Believing that the piper will never be paid, that the truth will always stay hidden, and that the last will always be last.

"One day the reckoning will come, and all will change with a twinkling of an eye. "

So preached the street preacher as I stepped off the train in Washington, D.C.
