If you are lost to locate us

You may not be alone trying to locate us

We know that many people are lost to locate us

’Cause many have strayed trying to locate us

We are a pair of Islands

In the Caribbean Sea

That means that our father and mother on all sides

Is the Caribbean Sea

And due to this care by the Caribbean Sea

You will find us a sight to sites

Actually, sights in us will hold your attention captive.

That you may desire a chair in our live ins

By Denys Nevozhai on Unsplash

This is our pride and posture

We take pride and practice in hosting you

As we take this pride and practice, yours ’tis

To say your abode

For we have those shores that the sun shines on

We possess those shores with shining sand

The type of shores that folks flock to

This is just one side our natural worth

Despite our small sizes

We have mountains that peak up

And from these mountains that peak up

Rivers fork finger down the valleys

With gashing water down the valleys

That when they form valleys on the volley side

Their deep deposits are a story for us

Their deposits drive upwards orchids

On which several birds pay visits

To sustain their stomachs and

Raise more younglings for us

On the orchids numerous birds perch on

On their daily journeys

Journeys that some birds start early

Much earlier than some men

By Sam Loyd on Unsplash

And finally, the rivers form lakes

Giving us another source of water

Due to our world location

Our lakes are sites of warm water

Where torrents of activities never cease

This is all year round

It is such sheer beauty

It is such natural beauty

That we have copied in full measure

That has occupied our minds

To create human art of a class

That history loves to talk about.

To this even UNESCO has known

And acknowledged that we have sites

That will stand the test of time.

Speightstown, a town of old times tells this story

Its cobblestone streets and old houses

Stand erect till today

By Tom Jur on Unsplash

Even the Britons and came caused

Concrete monuments on our land

The monuments stand erect today

For we love to share this history

With you and the world

If the sun gets a bit hot

One can always have a splashing swim, no stakes seen

One can always just dive in, no warrants wrested

If you love that way

Our shores spoil for choice

One will move from shore to shore

But not get enough of this beauty

We are Antiqua and Barbados!

While with, hope you stay

While in Antiqua and Barbados

One must check the caves

There are some very rare caves

Caves onto which the ocean aggresses itself

In a manner that the caves are constantly hit by ocean water

Yet these caves have stood the test of time

The Animal Flower Cave is one such

The ocean waters thumb and thrust it

Yet it remains yearning for more a fight

In the end it is the ocean that surrenders

And recedes to settle down its angers

This rhythmic fights between cave and ocean

Have been repeated time immemorial

The cave is there to stay

And the ocean is there to fight stay

This is one of the magic spots of

Antiqua and Barbados

You better check it out!

The corals are things in abundance

The coral reefs regions of awesome beauty

In Antiqua and Barbados we have a full share

Of these coral reefs whose colours

Paint magical ’t’would appear

Some forces from the heavens did it

We possess these corals in Antiqua and Barbados

Reality is however demanding that

We check on the things that

Have gone to the left most recently

These things concern us, for

The coral reefs have been eroded

The coastal lines have been messed up

Water scarcity has paradoxically hit us

For surrounded by ocean

And fed by all these rivers

And served by all these lakes

We hold water under key and lock

Pollution and poor waste management ugly they are

Over fishing is an issue

By Brian Yurasits on Unsplash

A turn around is eminent

To save the environmental prowess

Of Antiqua and Barbados

Save Our Home Planet Earth Oh Antiqua and Barbados

I love Antiqua and Barbados
