Each grain a whisper of ancient seas,
Carried by winds across distant lands,
In deserts vast, where time expands,
A tapestry of eternity unfurls with ease.
Softly shifting, in the dunes' embrace,
Stories whispered in each tiny mote,
A history is woven in grains remote,
Where footprints vanish without a trace.
From shore to desert, a silent dance,
Where tides of time forever roam,
In each grain, a secret home,
A memory held in every chance.
Oh sands of time, relentless flow,
A symphony in grains of gold,
Were stories ancient and untold,
In the desert, whispers go.

Had I been paying more attention to the stories you are so fond of telling, in which you are invariably author, narrator and protagonist, I would not have been so foolish as to set you up on a blind date.
