Same As Always

Never thought that I would feel better. It was better than years ago. Better than a stupid letter.

They were right when they said I stand my ground.

They were right when they said I don't back down.

They were right when they said I stick around.

I mean what I say. I say what I mean.

I know through everything I will be okay.

They were right when they said I care. They were right when they said I'm nice.

They were right when they said I give hugs like a bear.

I can't help certain things.

I can't help but try.

I can't help I'm one of the billions of human beings.

They were right when they said I am different.

They were right when they said I was weird.

They were right when they said I give obvious hints.

I tried. I move on. Now, I have nothing to hide.

They were right when they said I'm tough.

They were right when they said I'm not. I may be strong, but I am not buff.

I see what is wrong. I often correct. Saying these words will make me strong.

They were right when I was sad. They were right when I denied. They should know now that I am glad.

Things happen for a reason. I may not understand, even if it's just for a season.

They were right when they said things change.

They were right when they said I will be happy.

They were right when they said there will always be a "wide range." I may not be the best,

I may not be the worst,

But I will prove I love everyone with this heart in my chest.

They were right when they said I was sweeter than tea.

They were right when they said I can be meaner than a bee. I hope everyone is able to see,
