Sadness

A Poetic Journey through the Depths of Sorrow and the Faint Whispers of Resilience

By BrendonJosephPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

In the shadowed realm where sorrow dwells,

A melancholy symphony, a tale it tells.

Obsidian skies weep in silent song,

A requiem for joy, now gone.

Beneath the weeping willow's sway,

A forlorn figure, in solitude, may stay.

Ephemeral echoes of laughter once known,

Now replaced by the dirge of sorrow's tone.

A sepulcher of dreams, shattered and cold,

A narrative of loss, in somber folds.

The cerulean hues of hope, now gray,

As tears cascade, emotion's disarray.

Bereft of solace, a heart in eclipse,

A sonnet of sadness on sorrow's lips.

The cadence of pain, a mournful dance,

In the waltz of despair, a soul's askance.

Through the labyrinth of desolation, I tread,

A threnody for love, now silent, unsaid.

The pen of fate scribing a woeful verse,

On the parchment of tears, a universe.

In the sanctuary of shadows, grief resides,

A spectral hymn where anguish abides.

Yet, within the mournful, a glimmer may gleam,

A whisper of healing, a distant dream.

For even in sorrow's vast expanse,

Hope may emerge, a delicate chance.

In the tapestry of tears, resilience is spun,

A requiem for the heart, yet not all is done.

This was such an emotional poem! Well done!

  • This is beautiful. If it's relating personal pain, I truly hope you can find light in the darkness soon. Living with that kind of grief is... well, it's enough to break a person. Keep smiling where you can. Silver linings aren't always bright, but they are there.
