Sinking in sadness, a feeling so low,

Sorrowful thoughts, with nowhere to go,

Suffocating emotions, that feel like a weight,

Saddening moments, that refuse to abate.

Silent tears, that flow like a stream,

Soul-crushing pain, like a haunting dream,

Saddened heart, with a heavy ache,

Struggling to cope, with every breath we take.

Sombre skies, that mirror our soul,

Sulking in silence, we lose our control,

Saddened by loss, or a broken heart,

Surrendering to sadness, a painful part.

Searching for hope, in the darkest of days,

Shedding the sadness, in so many ways,

Sadness, a journey that we must undertake,

Seeking the light, for our spirit's sake.
