sad, sad little girl

short poem

By Rejoice C.A.R.sPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Sad, sad little girl,

Misunderstood by the world.

Too young to bear this heavy strain,

With pillows soaked in endless rain.

A million shards from a shattered heart,

Sad, sad little girl, torn apart.

I wish you'd smiled a little more,

But the rain, the rain, you wouldn't ignore.

Sunshine stolen from your skies,

Darkness now your only prize.

Oh, why not embrace the joy that was near?

Now stars and sparks have disappeared.

Sad, sad little girl, so lost inside,

You've let the darkness be your guide.

Your mind, a prison, trapped and cold,

Yet only you can break the hold.

The universe claimns yet another soul,

And now a demon takes control.

Sad, sad little girl, don't be misled,

Those demons live just in your head.

Your tears have dried, your heart like stone,

And emptiness becomes your home.
