A Poem...

By Ryley LindynPublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

I'm the one they call for some little fun

Caught in between the sheets of broken dreams

Stop giving me that look of sorrow, hun

The pity you give me won't mend my seams

For lovers won't stay, and tears can stain

When friends and family take what's not theirs

Plucking petals off of children's roses

Young age wilts into nights, soft with despair

"Silly girl do not cry, you asked for this."

Because my skirt didn't cover my thigh?

Or was it that glance, or flirtatious kiss?

That you couldn't resist taking what's mine

Underneath this pretty painted frame

Burns a ravage fire, no man can contain

sad poetry
