Running from misfortune

I am seeking shelter

By Life HopesPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I walk with sorrow pressed against my chest,

not knowing where my feet should carry me.

Each road I take turns heavy with storms,

each doorway seems to open only to loss.

I am searching for a place untouched by noise,

a still corner of the earth where silence rests,

where the sky bends down like a mother’s hand

and the wind does not wound but heals.

The desert calls me with its endless breath—

there, I dream of peace and unbroken shelter,

far from the ghosts that haunt my fortune,

far from the shadows chasing my name.
