Her body was a myriad of colours,

Like a peacock in full dance.

Feather light hair and ocean blue eyes,

Observing life through a lens of beauty.

Her skin translucent hiding the pain inside.

Lupus, showering down an amethyst rain

That soaked deep inside her bones.

Hidden from the rest of the world.

Her empathy would not be dampened,

She clung to it like a lifeline.

It guided her on the days that challenged her,

Enabling her to heal others.

A magnetic light from within,

Seeking out people’s gifts and beauty.

A beacon of hope and sunshine offered in the form of words,

Distributing golden light on the darkest of days.

She used her rainbow of love as building blocks

To heal and build others up.

She was pain and light all in one.

She was a ruby heart full of love.
