Rotten fruit falls down on its own

Plentiful harvest won't be known

No hand need pull it to the ground

Crows and vermin will feast around

Sickly decay will be unsown

Mere silence through barren trees blown

Orchard dies with a quiet moan

A broken heart makes the same sound

Rotten fruit falls down

Free of you, I'm walking alone

Peacefulness inside me has grown

Maggot infested flesh has browned

Ripe and rot eternally bound

Blight has not turned my love to stone

Rotten fruit falls down

Not quite feeling this, so feedback is greatly appreciated!!

About the Creator

Tina D. Lopez

Finally realizing I need to start acting like the main character in my own life. Writing helps me figure out where I keep losing the plot and giving away my spotlight. My story is a big mix of drama, comedy, tragedy, thriller, and, horror.
