Rose Gold
Elegant and Refined
It grows from soil, terra firma, with little guidance
Small buds on the vines that creep between the cracks
And push them apart with reckless defiance
Pastel petals arrange layered and radiating
The cherry blossoms grow with quiet determination
And blooms the same color as a mind creating
Rare in nature, this refined shade of pink
It hues the arms of the coral providing shelter
It is resilient when pushed to the brink
It’s the color of an innocent flower,
With the serpent lying under it
It’s royal, but not dominant in its power
There are things in life, only valued by the curious
There is strength in passion for the world
In remaining humble with gentle invariance
A rose of gold wraps around lithe fingers
And sapphic affection grows as effortless
They can cut the flower, but the color lingers
