Rorschach

Define for yourself

I dipped a quill into the inkwell of my soul

Drawing forth bits and pieces of a fractured whole

Splotched them liberally upon a page

Hoping thus to quench my rage

A tale unto itself each Rorschach blot

Tragedy, romance, drama: Sometimes cold, often hot

Some see butterflies where I see locusts

Flowers or poison ivy, depends upon your focus

We all look upon them from our own perspective

They are what they are irrespective

So long as I can breathe between lines of prose

Matters not what others think of those

So ream upon ream I cover with ink

To keep myself afloat and not into despair sink
