ROCKETSHIP REPRIEVE
10-14-2021
Fascination stares deep into space
Thinking to itself
For God's grace..
Be I there.
A lonely rock
Left upon a dark shore..
Blasted..
Puny and poor.
No intelligent life..
No recourse.
Instead,
I am life of flesh,
greens and granite.
A breath of life measured in turns about my sun
with all the woes,
and too many fears.
Yet between the Birth and grave,
A search for knowledge
Is our crave..
We live upon this tiny rock
Finding beauty in crevasses
Bright in colors,
Pleasing masses.
We slowly eat the dirt
Turning beauty into soot..
So again we turn away
Staring out into the stars
And wish and wish
Our way past Mars.
And til our time comes
When we can leave
Upon a rocketship reprieve..
I'll stare deep into darkest space
In fascination of God's grace.
Peace
