Rising Above the Quake as a child

A Tale of Courage and Hope

Powerful pangs, pound the ground,

People panicked, nowhere to be found,

Piercing cries, piercing the air,

Petrified people, with a chilling stare.

Pummeling quake, pulverizing the land,

People scrambling, for a helping hand,

Painful scenes, of destruction and strife,

Picking up the pieces, to rebuild a life.

Pristine hope, permeates the air,

People working, with love and care,

Prayerful hearts, beating strong,

Pleasant peals, of a hopeful song.

Pieces come together, bit by bit,

People moving forward, with spirit and grit,

Profound strength, in a world so harsh,

Pleasant peals, of a resilient march.

Peaceful calm, replaces the fear,

People rebuilding, year after year,

Pleasant peals, of a new day's light,

Promising hope, after a stormy night.
