Rising Above the Darkness

My life is like a sunset,

Dark and dreary, with no light,

The colors of the sky so bleak,

A dismal sight, so out of sight.

The darkness is so suffocating,

The colors fading to grey,

All hope seems to be gone,

No will to live another day.

The night seems to come so fast,

The sun setting in the west,

The darkness so deep and vast,

My life's a never-ending test.

But even in the midst of darkness,

There is still a glimmer of hope,

A chance to start anew,

To rise above the depths of my woes.

The sun may be setting,

But I'm determined to survive,

I will strive to make it better,

And succeed in life, come what may.
