Ripples In The Water

An Attempt At Poetry

I stand on the shore of my universe and stare into the void.

I watch the water that is life lap at my feet in helpless rage.

But I know that if I throw a stone, I can cause ripples.

And ripples may start small and insignificant.

But ripples are waves by the time they reach the shore.

In this world of intentional silence and blindness-

I will throw stones until one of the ripples I cause

turns into a wave that laps the shores strongly enough to cause change.

I hope you throw stones too.

If we all threw our stones at the same time,

Could our insignificant ripples create tidal waves?
