Rime of the Rainbow Dancer
Shimmering from the inside out

Slipped right through
Poised fingertips
The phantasmal
r
i
b
b
o
n
of multi-tonal hue
Covered in millions of
Razor sharp facets
S
T
R
E
A
M
S
of beaming light
leap and
Shine down
I swirl
Becoming tangled in the
Spectral turnabouts
Thoughtlessly rolling
Tucking my head
bursting out the cloudy door

I can see through the rainbow
Shimmering on the surface of my tears
To the glistening land
miraculously contained within

There has never been a way
To dive
Through and live
In the perfection wrung from
My subconscious being

Even collecting the torrential flow
Siphoning each drop away
Defending their salty volume from
The ravages of evaporation
Could never b r e a k the barrier
Bestowing upon me the power of
The Rainbow Dancer
I have to slice the surface tension
Take the

n
That’s the answer

As I spin and
Lift myself
Off the very ground with love
I see the tears and fear below
Light reflects in plasmic rays
Ricocheting, piercing the silvery
Shapely outer layer, forcing it to burst
Splashing rainbow reality
on the blank white canvas
