Right Day

A small commentary on mania.

I hope you catch me on the right day

How I act, what I say

The continual fact that I change my way again and again

A ten or a zero

The villain or hero of my own life

Filled with strife

Based on moods and foods

Amounts of drugs and hugs

Whether I’m below or above

Either a hateful glow or emanating love

I am the glove

But then I become your hand

And I don’t understand my incredibly rapid shift in perception

On the outside looking in

And soon the change starts to begin

Feeling the connection

In every direction

This is bliss

This is perfection

But when becoming a miss

It's as if my lovers left my lips

And I feel she won’t return

I hope you catch me when the fires burn

When I’m lost in love and my gears start to turn

Surrounded by light and peaceful delight

Showing how it looks

To feel alright
