Rhythmic Sense

An anti-capitalist poem, sort of

Your music sounded like an advertisement.

I mean it as an insult sharp enough to cut

Your fingers from your hands so you'll stop

Writing and dreaming are different things.

And it's too clear that you are unfamiliar

With both of those human oddities, hm?

There isn't a sense of fantasy in the sound.

.

Your music tastes like asphalt under heat.

That is, like ass, chemicals, and capitalism.

The kind that fills your lungs with disease.

I hate the way your soul rattles in my ear.

Obnoxious and loud because you think you

Know better than the rhythm of nature.

There isn't a sense of life in you, either.
