Violet is what

Makes the end of hues

The last of the cut.

It’s so close to blues.

Violet, in me,

Brings about the deep

For me to just see.

It’s the hue of sleep.

The darkness is a

Happy pall. it takes

Suffering away.

It’s what bleakness makes.

Though dark, almost black,

Violet retains

Pow’r that does not lack.

This color remains.

In purple, the hue

Is nearest to it.

The flower made new,

It is color’s wit.

Violet’s use in

Dyes has made it pop.

The depth of its skin

Could never just stop.

I enjoy the last

Color that Newton

Noted. in the past

It was the new one.
