What goes around comes back around

I figured out how change feels.

It feels like forcing yourself to use your non dominant hand.

In theory it knows everything your other one does,

But in practice it’s slow.

Unfamiliar, and familiar at the same time.

I figured out how change looks.

It looks like you tried to write with your non dominant hand.

Like you’re in kindergarten all over again.

It’s just this time,

You already know the letters.

I know what goodbye feels like.

It’s like writing a postcard after you’ve already sent the text.

In theory you’ve already said fair well,

But in practice there is always a PS.

Scripted and postpartum at the same time.

I know what goodbye looks like.

It looks like a stamp collection.

A handful of corner pieces to unfinished puzzles.

It’s just this time,

You never sent all of the letters.

I know what it’s like to feel a younger me.

It’s like witnessing sound before the light.

In theory the light should come first,

But in practice you’ve already felt the boom.

It’s a backwards supersonic.

I know how to see me.

I look authentic.

I am both the Alpha and the Omega.

It’s just this time,

I Let Her.
