A RubyRed Original Poem

too many questions

but enough to understand the basic form of the world

it makes sense to have confidence

to trust nothing but the one you control

no blame victims

to take the heat of the flame,

swallow it so bravely

and continue

while the ball and chain clunks stubbornly

and the key hides out of reach

those puppy eyes couldn't turn the souls

of the ones watched so closely

fighting endlessly forever denied

hope.

Fighting endlessly, forever denied hope. That was poignant. Loved your poem!
