Resistance

I cannot withstand the path to truth

By Vikram BalPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

I obtained an orb of wisdom—

as I froze above the ocean

waiting to dive, engrossed with fear.

I stayed floating,

as the cracks of ice spread through my body.

Suspended in air,

I was offered courage from ancestral might.

I reached my hand and grasped in my palms

light that transcends epochs.

As gravity pierced through time,

my resistance couldn’t withstand

the warm-bedded air surrounding my core.

I was enclosed in embrace,

a protective power—

as my body swirled, gyrating

and dove into the universe.

I blinked my eyes open

as I searched for air,

the universe whispered to me:

“Look in yourself”

and I was pulled into a vortex.

I was met with an encapsulating glow

the innocuous stare

as it blinked into my eyes:

In the depths of seabed

lay an orb of wisdom.

I obtained the orb of wisdom,

with which I walk through time.

I present to You my vibrant core

as You walk away rejuvenated.

I observe in humble resignation

and You leave with the imprint of the universe.

You cannot withstand the path to truth

when you meet the ones who become their truth.
