Resist to Remain

Simple Poem Number 1

Resist to Remain

I broke my fists upon the walls of class warfare. Bleeding anarchy and freedom. I teach the meaning of life, or lack thereof. I spread the message of love, yet live a life of solitude. A warrior with no war to fight, for my enemy is an idea. You can not kill an idea once it takes hold. One man is worthless despite the words that fall from his cold lifeless lips. My meaning will never be seen, but maybe yours will. It is the duty of a parent to resist the oppression and cynicism of the world all while providing and protecting one's offspring. Once your kid steps food on the earth you no longer get to fight with your hands. You fight with your life. You are a stepping stone, a meet step on the latter for the future to embrace and defeat what holds them down.
