Represent The Rainbow

My mind lives in shadows

My soul in light

My eyes, though dark

Emanate life

Always lost

And confused

I felt conflicted

By my emotions

I always believed that emotions

Were made up of colors

Each feeling had its own

Making each one unique

I thought people were the same

We each had our own unique color

That displayed our souls

And described our personalities

Only now do I realize

That I am made of all the colors

And it’s those colors

That make up my heart and soul

I love who I love

I am who I am

And I am proud

To represent the rainbow
